I started thinking that I am too much of a worrier to ever be able to be a parent.
Anxiety runs in my family and although mine is in check most of the time, I feel like being responsible for one or more entire human lives may be what pushes me over the edge. Once I have a child, it will be too late for me to turn back and my anxiety may wind up taking me over and runing my life, my future husband's life, and any and all of my children's lives.
But then I realized that worrying about something that may or may not ever happen is no way to keep anxiety in check! Hello!
This weekend, I will be rooting for my Philadelphia Eagles! Let's make something happen!

I am so sorry that your family has experienced another loss so soon after your grandmother, but I think it speaks volumes for how much your grandparents loved one another--Your grandfather really wanted to see his wife again, for sure.

Sorry I hadn't been online as much lately, but I enjoyed catching up on your blog. Your trip to Italy sounds WONDERFUL--good for you!
Thanks so much for the great card and hilarious photo of me in the wig at Kmart--oh my or shall I say SML?!?! Anyway, it brought lots of laughs to us all! We are all doing well. I am training for the Flying Pig Marathon--actually I'm only going to run 1/4 of it, in a relay with 3 of my girlfriends. But that is huge progress for me, since it was one year ago this week having my surgery. Kelldog is doing great--swimming and running along side us. Mike sends his best, too. For the holidays, we got our neighborhood to "Light Up Waterford" with luminaries that they purchased to benefit Bethany House Services. We raised $2000 and had a glorious night of singing carols, enjoying the lights and everyone came back to my house for hot chocolate, coffee and cookies. Sr. Mary came and collected the check and we celebrated her birthday, too. It was super fun and a great way to get the kids and new people involved with helping the homeless. I'm sure you'll get to read more about it in the next BHS newsletter (haha!) Sending lots of love and prayers your way. Give my best to everyone.
